Not my thing:
I never got in to Swatch watches - not because I thought they were ugly, but becauseI never could get used to the feel of a watch on my wrist. Especially 8 of them...
I never embraced that fad, either. I did wear a watch, though, but I'm sure it wasn't a Swatch. My brother and sister both were big on Swatch, now that I think about it.
I learned early on in life that I was not meant to wear a watch or even a chain around my neck... They would catch upon whatever they possibly could and I would get injured... I wore a "bolo" (String tie) and ended up hanging in the back of the warehouse where I worked... That was the last time that I wore anything like a watch or ring... (My class ring injured me several times... its last time it cut my finger to the bone....) I just tend to have accidents...
