The "Noid":

From a 1987 marketing campaign for Domino's Pizza. To this day I have no idea what he's supposed to be, or what "Noid" stands for. The last pic's a bendable rubber toy figure that they sold. I had one (I believe it cost me about 5 bucks), but frankly it was so ugly I didn't keep it for long.

  1. I remember the Noid well. Domino's was a big deal in the mid to late 80s, pop culture hot, if I remember correctly. Definitely an 80's touchstone!

  3. An 80s Icon for sure. I don't know what he was either, but I remember him well. And I am sure he helped them sell some pizzas.

  4. Dr. Theda beat me to it. But, I have no idea why they chose that spelling. Maybe because "noyed" just looks weird, and is harder to pronounce? I don't know. But, you're right, it's a weird looking little "thing."
